Kathy Moran's personal journals extend from 1975 to 2016 and the bulk of her writing is from the 1975 into the 1990s. Collection also includes 3 cartons of ephemera, photographs, and personal records. Ephemera includes buttons, t-shirts, greeting cards, games, and other items. Photographs are of Kathy Moran and her travels, friends, family, and Carleton alumni. Personal records includes publications, Carleton alumni information, her BA in Biology, and some correspondence.

Collection includes 3 cartons of Kathy Moran's personal journals that she kept from her time at Carleton College (1975) until October 2016 and 3 cartons of ephemera, photographs, and personal records.
Kathy Moran was born in New York on January 15, 1957 and spent much of her life in Minnesota, graduating from Carleton College and St. Catherine University. She was a strong advocate for people who are deaf and hard of hearing by helping broaden awareness and services for them. She was very active in the Twin Cities and communities beyond Minnesota, partaking in women's sports, women's music, dance, theater, language, and the Green Bike Movement.
