Biographical / Historical

Jean Davies Okimoto was born in 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, and attended DePauw University, the University of Washington, and Antioch College. In addition to her career as a young adult writer Okimoto worked as a psychotherapist. Her first novel for young adults, My Mother is Not Married to My Father, was published in 1979. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
