Biographical / Historical

Jeanette Winter was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1939. She earned her B.F.A. from the University of Iowa. She has worked as an author and illustrator of children's books since the 1960s. She is known for writing and illustrating biographies of famous people for children, including Diego Rivera, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georgia O'Keeffe and Beatrix Potter. Ms. Winter is also the illustrator for the Witch, Goblin, and Ghostseries by Sue Alexander.
