Historical Note
The Baccalaureate Program Directors Association (BPD) was founded by a group of Bachelor of Social Work program directors in the 1970s. The directors came together to discuss mutual concerns regarding undergraduate social work education. BPD currently has over 400 members from colleges and universities across the United States. The mission of BPD is dedicated to the promotion of excellence in baccalaureate social work education.
