James Mason Camping collection
Scope and Content
The James Mason Camping collection reflect his curated research into organized camping in the United States. The files include correspondence, notes, meeting minutes and memoranda, photocopies of articles and research files, published articles, pamphlets, newsletters, magazines, brochures, and newspaper clippings all related to camping history, specific organized camps, and influential camp philosophies and theories. Also included in the collection is information regarding James Mason's involvement as Director of Wilder Forest, a program of the Wilder Foundation.
