Biographical / Historical
ACCESSline was first published in 1987 in Waterloo, Iowa. It was published by a non-profit called ACCESS, which stood for "A Concerned Community for Education, Safer-sex and Support." The newspaper initially focused on raising awareness of HIV/AIDS, but later expanded its coverage to various LGBT issues in Iowa.
