Biographical / Historical
A & U: America's AIDS Magazine (also known as Art & Understanding) was first published in 1991 in Albany, New York. It reports primarily on HIV/AIDS issues and includes everything from op-eds to visual art. Its first literary editor was Christopher Hewitt. It is unclear whether the magazine is still in publication, as its website suddenly became defuct in September of 2022.
