Scope and Content
The Catherine Lundoff Papers contain a diversity of materials -- including books and articles written by Catherine Lundoff, pamphlets from conferences from Minnesota and Wisconsin from 2008 and 2012. The collection also includes printed copies of articles published online, a CD of podcasts and radio shows from 2011-2012, t-shirts, buttons, and DVDs, materials relating to Lundoff’s involvement in LGBT activist organizations, and documentation of Lundoff's Grassroots Books in Iowa City, Iowa.
Series 1: Grassroots Books Records. Contains materials relating to Grassroots Books, the bookstore Catherine Lundoff owned and ran in Iowa City, Iowa in the early- to mid-1990s. Financial records, book orders, and correspondences are all included in this series.
Series 2: Writings-. Contains materials relating to writings by Catherine Lundoff and others, and documentation of writing groups in which Lundoff participated.

- Subseries 1: Writings by Catherine Lundoff. Contains copies of books written by Catherine Lundoff, as well as other works of hers. Some were written under Lundoff’s pen name Emily L. Byrne. Genres include, science-fiction, fantasy and erotica.
- Subseries 2: Writings by other writers. Contains press about Lundoff, including book reviews or articles in which she is mentioned, as well as periodicals, zines, and other miscellaneous writings.
- Subseries 3: Writing Groups. Contains information about writing groups in which Lundoff participated.
Series 3: Event Programs. Contains programs and itineraries from events Catherine Lundoff attended.
Series 4: Ephemera. Contains t-shirts and buttons from events and organizations.

- Subseries 2: CDs. Contains one CD with recordings from podcasts and radio broadcasts featuring Catherine Lundoff.
Series 6: Community Materials. Community Materials. Contains materials relating to the LGBT community and LGBT activism, with a focus on the bisexual and lesbian communities from Iowa and Minnesota. There is one folder of materials relating to the bisexual community, including newsletters, organizational records, and materials created by activist organizationsContains several folders relating to the lesbian community, including materials from the Iowa Women’s Festival, and other activism-related materials.

Biographical Sketch
Catherine Lundoff is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She is the author of several books and her stories have been published in seventy five publications. She started her writing career while in law school. Her subjects include fiction, fantasy, science fiction, erotica, and nonfiction. She currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her wife and is active in the local writing community.
