Biographical Sketch

Joseph (Joe) Ward, a former Minnesotan who lives in California, worked as an advocate for the African American GLBT community in Minnesota. He was heavily involved in Minnesota Men of Color, serving as Board Treasurer in the 2000s, and also acted as Director of Soul Essence, a Twin Cities African American GLBT group which he cofounded in 2002.
