Biographical / Historical

Red Wing PFLAG was founded in the mid-1990s by a group of parents of gay men and lesbians in Red Wing, Minnesota, a small town downriver from the Twin Cities. With many of the founding members being employed in city schools and public institutions, the group advocated for GLBT rights locally and on the state level. The group disbanded in 2013, after same-sex marriage was legalized in Minnesota.
