Zi Xue Papers
Scope and Contents
This small donation of materials collected by Zi Xue contains a range of Chinese informational pamphlets, postcards, event tickets, and booklets on feminism; domestic, intimate partner, and gender-based violence awareness; China’s transgender communities; sexual harassment; LGBT rights and the law; HIV/AIDS prevention. Highlighted organizations include the Beijing Queer Chorus, Rainbow Travel World, Love and Voice Organization, Common Language, Equality, Gender Watch, DanLan, the Rainbow Law Hotline, and Rainbow China. The collection also includes a detailed 2017 study on China’s transgender community entitled, “Survey on the Current Status of China’s Transgender Community: Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming People,” as well as a button from a pride event. The materials were collected by donor Zi Xue; most of the materials are in Chinese, but some include English translations.
