Central Files, patent records
Scope and Content
This collection consists of the patent files of the University of Minnesota. The materials include patents, correspondence, and case files regarding patent infringements, with the bulk of the materials dating from the 1930s-1970s. The collection is in no discernable arrangement, and folder titles are not always complete.
Most files relating to general records and funds were maintained as separate Central Files collections. Upon transfer of the Central Files to the University Archives, this original arrangement was maintained. Researchers many want to consult this collection in conjunction with the general records and funds collections.
