Historical Note
The Minnesota School Mathematics and Science Center, also known as Minnemath and Minnemast, was established at the University of Minnesota in the 1960s with grants from the National Science Foundation. The focus of the center was to create textual materials in science and mathematics for grades 1-6, but the center also helped educate grade school instructors in the mathematical and science concepts covered in the textual materials, and gave instruction for college junior and seniors who would be teaching high school mathematics.
