Biographical Sketch of Eugene Grim (1922-1998)
Eugene Grim was born on 19 July 1922 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He received his bachelor's degree from Kansas State University and earned his doctor of physiological chemistry degree in 1950 from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Grim joined the faculty at the University in 1951 and was promoted to professor in 1962. From 1968 to 1986, Dr. Grim served as chair of the physiology department. Dr. Grim's area of research was the physiology of circulation and absorption of the gastrointestinal system. Eugene Grim died on 23 July 1998.
