Historical Note
The University Directory began as a campus-wide publication consisting of “a complete list of the faculty and a classified list of students with their city and home addresses” (1) in the fall of 1893. Produced annually, this directory went on to include expected graduation year, phone number, job title, campus address and a key to deciphering what college a student is studying in. The University Directory was known as the University Address Book, The Bulletin, and the Student-Staff Directory over time and ceased publication in the spring of 2009.
