Historical Note

The Center for Computation and Visualization of Geometric Structures, the Geometry Center, was established to integrate advanced computing into mathematics, including developing new computer software and designing new ways to use computers in advanced mathematics. The Center was founded in 1991 by Al Marden and housed within the Institute of Technology.
