Biographical Sketch of Ida M. Martinson (b. 1936)
Ida Marie Sather Martinson was born on November 8, 1936. She earned her B.S. in 1960 and M.N.A. in 1962 from the University of Minnesota. In 1972, she earned her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Dr. Martinson joined the staff at the University of Minnesota in 1972 as a lecturer in the department of physiology and director of research and assistant professor in the school of nursing. Dr. Martinson was promoted to associate professor in 1975 and professor in 1977.
