Community-University Health Care Center (CUHCC) is an outreach program sponsored by the Academic Health Center at the University of Minnesota and serves people in the local community who may lack access to adequate health care based on socio-economic, cultural or linguistic barriers. Services include medical, dental, nutrition, pharmacy and mental health counseling. CUHCC was originally founded in 1966 to deliver health care to children of low-income families in south-central Minneapolis under the direction of the Health Sciences Center at the University of Minnesota. In 1975, an adult medicine program was introduced to CUHCC.
