Historical Note
The Gamma Alpha Graduate Scientific Fraternity was established in 1899 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Its mission was "to unite and to promote good fellowship among men who are engaged in scientific work." In 1916, the Minnesota chapter of Gamma Alpha was installed at the University of Minnesota.
