Historical Note
The All-University Schedule Committee was established in 1919 by the University Senate Administrative Committee at the University of Minnesota to oversee the planning of the schedule for the Twin Cities and coordinate campuses of the University. The committee scheduled the beginning and ending dates of each term, planned the final exam schedule and solved scheduling conflicts. In 1973, the Task Force on the University Schedule was established under the auspice of the All-University Schedule Committee to explore the possibility of allowing each campus of the University of Minnesota to establish a separate calendar to allow for individual differences and needs. Up until this time, the Twin Cities and coordinate campuses all followed the same schedule.
In 1974, the Senate Committee on Committees recommended the disestablishment of the University Schedule Committee with the establishment of the Campus Calendar Committees in 1973 by the Senate Administrative Committee.
