Biographical Sketch of George C. Sikes (1868-1928)
George Cushing Sikes was born on June 4, 1868 in Dodge Center, Minnesota. He earned his B.S. from the University of Minnesota in 1892. He attended the University of Chicago to work on his graduate degree. After his marriage to fellow University student Madeleine Wallin on February 6, 1897, they settled in Chicago where Sikes was an editorial writer for the Chicago Record. George Sikes died July 21, 1928.
