Biographical Sketch of James J. Jenkins (b. 1923)

James Jerome Jenkins was a professor of psychology and director of research at the Center for Research in Human Learning at the University of Minnesota. He was born in 1923 and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1950, joining the faculty in 1948. In 1982, Dr. Jenkins accepted the position of chair of the department of psychology at the University of South Florida-Tampa. He specialized in the fields of industrial selection, language and communication, and verbal behavior.
