Scope and Content
The collection consists of general meeting materials and agendas, the facilities workgroup, including data collected related to the restroom assessment project, the Transgender Commission Report and Recommendations for Institutional Change, the 2009 Transgender Commission Annual Report, and related information for transgender awareness and residential life.

Historical Note
The University of Minnesota Transgender Commission works to create equity, access, and an inclusive environment for people of all genders through education, advocacy, and institutional change. The Transgender Commission was formed in March 2006 in partnership with the GLBTA Programs Office at the University of Minnesota. In June 2007, the first Transgender Commission Report and Recommendations for Institutional Change was presented to the Vice President and Vice Provost for Equity and Diversity, to whom the Commission reports.
