Real estate and land records
Scope and Content
The collection consists of records of land purchased, sold, and rented by the University of Minnesota. The majority of the records are maintained in ledger books, arranged by date. Land and land uses include permits granted to cut lumber (1854), sale of agricultural lands (1872-1918), land deeds (1878-1896), land sales in various counties, mineral leases, salt spring land accounts, and lists of general land holdings and rental accounts.
