Scope and Content

This collection consists of local newsletters, bulletins, newspapers, and clippings from various Jewish organizations throughout the United States, but mostly located in the Upper Midwest. There are gaps in runs and not all issues are found in this collection. The bulk of the newsletters date from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Historical Note

For years the Jewish Historical Society of the Upper Midwest subscribed to and actively collected the bulletins, newsletters, and various publications of local Jewish organizations, synagogues, and newspapers.

Series 2: Miscellaneous clippings

Source of acquisition

Compiled by the Jewish Historical Society of the Upper Midwest over a period of years. Potentially supplemented by various unknown donors. Collection added to with new donations from JHSUM in 2021.

Newsletters and bulletins from different organizations and synagogues can also be found in each of their own archival collections. For more information, consult the finding aids of each organization or synagogue.
