Biographical / Historical

Sidney Schok (original name Simon Schakonsky) was a German immigrant who came to the United States and resided in North Minneapolis. He was born in 1902 and passed away in 1991.

This collection consists of the papers of Sidney Schok and other Jewish families residing in North Minneapolis.

Custodial History

Collection was purchased by donor at a garage sale, thus not much is known about the creators or who had possession of the materials before the donor purchased them.
