Asher White papers

 Collection
Identifier: Mss029

Scope and Content Note

All of the material in the collection is related to or concerned with some aspect of atomic energy, both peaceful and military applications. Almost everything in the collection exists in many copies elsewhere; uniqueness is limited almost solely to the few items of correspondence and the equally few notes which Dr. White made at various times in longhand.

The collection consists of 389 pieces, made up of correspondence, notes, photographs, publications of various kinds (both commercial and governmental), clippings, reprints from journals and magazines, and reports. There is, in addition, a folder labeled "Operation Crossroads" that contains information about the atomic bomb test at Bikini atoll in the Pacific Ocean, July 25, 1946.
