Biographical or Historical Note
Donald Morrison is a certified public accountant who was drawn to the writings of Robert Bly and became active in local Men's Groups in California. Educated at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, Morrison was initially introduced to Bly's work by a former classmate. Morrison and his friend felt that Bly spoke to "men like us," who felt something was missing from their quest for the "American Dream," and that Bly's writings articulated the frustrations they were feeling. For details of Robert Bly's biography, see: Robert Bly papers (Mss 81).
