Historical Note
Afton Press (formerly Afton Historical Society Press) is a not-for-profit book publisher specializing in history, culture, and Minnesota-centric publications. Founded in 1993 by W. Duncan MacMillan, the press began in Afton, Minnesota, under the name Afton Historical Society Press. MacMillan served as president and chairman until his death in 2006. The press is now located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and operates under the name Afton Press.
