Poet Barton Sutter is the author of nine books, a three-time winner of the Minnesota Book Award, and the first Poet Laureate of Duluth. Sutter has maintained a strong interest in the work of poet Robert Bly for many years after after reading Bly's Slience in the Snowy Fields (1964). In 2014, Sutter discovered that the library of Robert Bly's Moose Lake home had been purchased by the proprietor of Chester Creek Books in Duluth.
