Judith Nelson Carlson Rural Vermilion Lake School photographs
Scope and Contents
The collection contains nine snapshots of Miss Nelson, the Vermilion Lake School, and her eight or nine pupils who are unidentified, and appear to be five to twelve years of age. This was not an Indian school; the children are not Ojibwe. Miss Nelson is the woman not standing on the steps of the school building wearing the light-colored dress, open collar, with the long ribbon. The other women are identified as friends of hers.
