Scope and Contents
The collection contains Burke’s political correspondence, and material on the Truman-Barkley Club, especially concerning arrangements for President Truman’s visit to Duluth in 1948. There are letters, programs, speeches, a reception committee list, a seating arrangement for the motorcade, and financial reports and bills about the President’s visit.

Patrick A. Burke was an active member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party in Duluth, and was chairman of the Truman-Barkley Club, which worked to elect Truman and arranged his visit to Duluth in 1948.
