Biographical / Historical

The Duluth & Iron Range Railroad was incorporated in 1874. Its first main line ran from Soudan to Two Harbors, Minnesota. The construction of this line was completed in 1884. In 1938, the Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway Company acquired the Duluth and Iron Range Railroad Company through an exchange of bonds.
