On June 26, 1890, a warranty deed for the site of a new depot conveyed title of land from the Northern Pacific Railroad and the St. Paul Railroad to the Depot Company. The Duluth Union Depot was put into operation at 506 W. Michigan St. in Duluth, Minnesota on March 1, 1892. That same year the company changed its name to the Duluth Union Depot and Transfer Company.
