Duluth Saddle Club records
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a small amount of materials giving the impression that the club has been operating since the 1950’s. By-laws and membership lists, equestrian game remnants on paper and on films show some of the activity and scope of the organization. The club was welcomed into membership of the Western Saddle Clubs Association, Inc. (Minneapolis, Minnesota) in November, 1958. It appears there were hopes for a range of members but the records of the 2nd Annual Western Horse Show and the “Play Day” would suggest young people were a major membership group. These activities occurred in 1958 and 1959.
