The collection consists of four scrapbooks containing letters, news clippings, text of a speech and ephemera. Topics include: Duncan's retirement; community organizations such as Community Chest, Kiwanis, Duluth Symphony Association, Pilgrim Congegational Church, Republican Finance Committee, Women's Symphony Association, United Fund, and Red Cross; the Duluth Port Authority; tickets to the grand opening of the Duluth Arena-Auditorium, high school memorabilia, and the Duncan family.

Biographical / Historical

Kenneth Duncan came to Duluth in 1948 as assistant Manager of Lake Superior District Mines. He retired as manager in 1953. During his retirement he became very active in civic affairs. His wife, Frances, having a strong musical background, was involved in Matinee Musicale and the Women’s Symphony Association.
