The collection contains a May 23, 1952 letter to Mr. J. G. Sellwood from N. R. Danielian (Noobar Retheos Danielian), Executive Vice President of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Association, a draft of a program for the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Association, and a memo from Danielian to Board and members of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Association.

Biographical / Historical

The Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Association was created in 1949. It was the third major national organization formed to lobby for the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway. It was preceded by the Great Lakes--St. Lawrence Tidewater Association (1919-1939) and the National St. Lawrence Association (1944-1949).
