The collection consists of one item in a folder. The folder may or may not be related to the item in it. The folder appears to be dated January 1947 or November 9, 1947 [11947]. The art item is a black and white map of Midwest states and portions of two Canadian provinces that includes adhesive backed transfer decals and Chart Pak-type transfer material and a correction product generically called 'white out." Advertisement art for client Midwest Shrine Assn. It is not clear who made this item. The folder has two labels or seals printed with: From The Commercial Art Studios Horace P. Brouillet Syndicate.

Biographical / Historical
Little is known about Horace P. Brouillet (? - 1967) beyond that he was a commercial artist. R. L. Polk Duluth city directory of 1914-15 says he was a clerk at Marshall-Wells Co. living with family; the 1925 volume says he was an artist for Marshall-Wells and resided at 1515 East Third street. In 1961 he is still a commercial artist at 30 East Superior St., wife Lucille V., living on Greysolon Rd. Brouillet died in 1967.
