Biographical / Historical
Attorney James H., or J. Harvey, Whitely was born in Washington, Pennsylvania. He attended the state normal school at Edinborough, Pennsylvania, Wooster College, Ohio, and received his law degree from the University of Michigan. Whitely moved to Duluth, Minnesota in 1892. He was a member of the Eleventh Judicial District Bar association and the Minnesota State Bar association.
