Biographical / Historical

Robert E. Jefferson came to Duluth, Minnesota and built a frame building on Minnesota Point in 1857. He enlisted in the 13th Kansas Volunteer after he heard, mistakenly, that his enlisted brother had died at Gettysburg. He died of camp fever a few months later.
