Biographical / Historical
Capt. Byron B. Inman founded the Inman Tug Line in Duluth, Minnesota in 1885 and his brother, Capt. Hiram G. Inman joined him in the business in 1887. Byron Inman was the inventor of an ice breaking boat in 1897 and remained active in shipping until his death. He was married to May Frost Inman.
