Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a few pages and two volumes: treasure's ledger 1892-1896 with Record Of Weekly Offerings and brief Board of Trustees minutes April 20 and May 23, 1892 on pages 75-76; register/record volume 1890-1900 (one 1909 entry regarding a membership transfer.) The register volume contains a list of three pastors, list of deacons, list of church members, church officers, baptisms and meeting minutes 1891-1900.

Biographical / Historical
Ten people organized Mayflower Congregational Church April 12, 1891 in New Duluth. New Duluth was annexed to Duluth in 1895 and functions as a Duluth neighborhood. An April 1, 1895 document is a list of members committing specific sums to retain William N. Moore as pastor. A February 5, 1896 letter from Pastor Moore to the members indicate he will leave at the end of that year, and states that Moore came to the congregation " an untried man…straight out of my law office." George M. Keyes was treasurer.
