Biographical / Historical

The Mesaba Railway Company began operating on Christmas Day, 1912. It provided streetcar service for the communities of Hibbing, Eveleth, Gilbert, Mountain Iron, and Buhl on the Mesaba Iron Range until 1927, when it went out of business.
