Biographical / Historical

The Morgan Park Goodfellowship Club was founded in 1917 to provide social, recreational, and educational programs, and social welfare services for its members. Membership in the Club was restricted to the employees and their families of the United States Steel Corporation and its subsidiaries. Club membership was further restricted to those who resided in Morgan Park, Fond du Lac, New Duluth, Gary, Smithville, West Duluth, or Duluth. The organization's clubhouse was opened on January 24, 1918.

Following declining membership, the club was opened to all Duluth residents in 1971. The Good Fellowship board gave up management of the building in 1980 and the structure was demolished.
