Biographical / Historical

The North Shore Historical Assembly was organized in 1929 to bring together the Cook, Lake, and St. Louis County Historical Societies. In 1942 the Thunder Bay Historical Society joined the assembly. The group wanted to promote historical knowledge of the North Shore of Lake Superior which it did by presenting papers and addresses at their annual meetings held in each county on an alternating basis.
