Scope and Contents
The collection includes 2 slide presentations. The first contains 90 slides and a cassette tape, the title is "Copper Nickel in Minnesota". The second presentation contains 80 slides and a cassette tape, the title is "Wilderness in Crises - BWCA". The collection also includes personal letters from 1968-2003, and letters to and from politicians including John A. Blatnik, President Richard Nixon, MN Governor Anderson, District 8 representative Jim Oberstar, and Senator Walter Mondale. The collection also includes information on Lake Superior Conferences, City of Duluth Legislation, BWCA legislation, the Lake Superior Water quality, and Wet Lands Action Program.

Biographical / Historical
Milton E. Pelletier was a conservationist in the Duluth Area. His residence was at 3680 Munger Shaw Road. He was a member of numerous conservation organizations including Northern Environmental Council in which he was Chairman and state coordinator. Mr. Pelletier was also a member of MN Environmental Resource Council, MN Conservation Federation (of which he was President), and United Northern Sportsmen. Through these organizations Mr. Pelletier helped create and/or maintain the BWCA (Boundary Waters) and Voyager National Park. His papers also indicate that he ran for MN state representative for district 14B.
