Biographical / Historical

Peter J. Peterson, born in Sweden, came to the United States in 1852, to Superior, Wisconsin in 1837. He homesteaded on two islands in the St. Louis River, later moving to Fond du Lac, Minnesota. He was Justice of the Peace and a member of the School Board. His home at 13328 West Third Street, built in 1867, was used for services of the Swedish Lutherans while he lived there.
