Biographical / Historical

Mary Clara Post came to Superior with her husband, John I. Post, in 1854. Mary Clara Post had made arrangements with the Ashtabula, Ohio Sentinel, to be its correspondent. She was the first newspaper reporter in history in the area. Later she wrote articles for the Houghton, Michigan Editor Telegraph and the Duluth Minnesotian.
