Biographical / Historical

The Professional Secretaries International organization evaluates the standards of the secretarial profession, provides education benefits, and sponsors civic and social activities. The organization has strict rules governing membership eligibility. Members must be of unquestionable character and integrity, have two years of secretarial experience, and be actively engaged as a secretary. The Minnesota-Arrowhead Chapter covering the Duluth-Superior area was chartered in 1946.

The name of the organization was changed to the International Association of Administrative Professionals in 1998.
