The collection consists of nine photographs, two from 1916 at the Ontario Veterinary College, a portrait of Albert Rowson, and six of the Rowson Cat and Dog Hospital on Oneota, showing the building, an operating room with Dr. and Sarah Rowson working with a dog, their business sign and Dr. and Mrs. Sarah L. Rowson in the yard. Veterinarian Certificate, 1918.

Biographical / Historical

Albert E. Rowson was a doctor of veterinary medicine in Duluth from 1927-1948. The Rowson "Cat and Dog Hospital and Boarding Kennels, Outside Runs" at 4602 Oneota, first appears in the Polk Duluth City Directory in 1930; additionally, Dr. Rowson is listed with the veterinarians in the classified section. Dr. Rowson is among six vets listed in that year in Duluth.
